High standards shouldn't demand high-stress environments. In my experience, the magic on set happens when the process feels as seamless and rewarding as the final cut, which is why the most rewarding feedback I receive after wrapping a shoot is that it was easier and more seamless than expected.
I learned early in my career alongside remarkable mentors that the atmosphere you cultivate on set can impact heavily the quality of the work. Video production is dynamic, unexpected challenges arise, and variables change in real time. Navigating those moments gracefully with a positive attitude is what keeps a production moving forward and enjoyable for everyone involved.
My goal on set is to produce exceptional work without the unnecessary friction. Creating something great should feel energizing and fun, not draining or overwhelming. I aim to deliver beyond expectations while keeping the process relaxed, collaborative, and genuinely enjoyable for everyone involved.
When I’m not behind a camera, my favorite place to be is surrounded by good friends. Whether that means hosting a casual dinner, going on long walks, or playing pretty much any racquet sport in existence (tennis, pickleball, ping-pong, racquetball) I value quality time and intentional conversations with people above almost everything else.
